Former Ethiopian prime minister Tamrat Layne has been released from prison this morning. Its to be recalled that he has been sentenced to 18 years for corruption charges. He only served twelve years out of the eighteen.

Teddy Afro Sentenced to Six Years of Prison

The talented Ethiopian music icon Teddy Afro sentenced to six years of prison time and 18K fine today by the puppet judge who also convicted Kinijit leaders guilty.

After more than 7 months of languishing in prison the popular music icon Teddy Afro is "Found Guilty" of the hit and run charges. The Teddy's case is another proof that we don't have independent court system and the country's justice system is being used as a cover to the Meles government's deviant political game. Sentencing is scheduled for this friday, December 5, 2008.
